Website Redesign
Content Auditing | UX Optimization | Design Lead
Overview:
Creative Associates International, a global development organization, needed a redesigned website to better reflect its mission and improve its digital presence. The previous site was outdated, difficult to navigate, and content-heavy, with a poor user experience across devices. The goal was to modernize the design, streamline content, and enhance site functionality to support recruitment and stakeholder engagement.
My Role:
I led the end-to-end redesign—from UX planning and content strategy to visual design and QA. I collaborated directly with a developer to implement the site but handled all design, content, and structure in-house, without external agency support.
Challenges & Approach:
Balancing multiple roles was a key challenge—I served as designer, strategist, content editor, and project lead. I began with a full content audit to evaluate relevance and usability, then reorganized and rewrote content to reduce clutter and improve clarity. I designed new pages for Careers and About Us with targeted messaging to support recruitment. Throughout the process, I applied a modern, clean design system for consistency and accessibility.
Outcome & Impact:
The new website launched smoothly and was met with overwhelmingly positive feedback from both internal staff and external partners. Staff appreciated the improved usability and fresher visual identity, while clients and job seekers found the site easier to navigate and more informative. The redesign also positioned the organization more competitively in the global development space.
Relevance to AKF Role:
This project demonstrates my ability to lead large-scale digital design initiatives from concept through launch—especially in resource-constrained environments. At AKF, where clear communication, accessibility, and user engagement are essential, I would bring the same level of strategic design thinking, content clarity, and hands-on execution across digital platforms. My experience in designing recruitment-supporting assets also aligns with AKF’s organizational growth goals.
